Electrisim is continuously developed as open power-system analysis software powered by pandapower, OpenDSS, and ANDES. This page documents major product milestones so engineers can track new calculation capabilities, UI improvements, and validation work.
2026 — Dynamics, arc flash & motor starting
Added transient stability and eigenvalue analysis via the ANDES engine,
arc flash assessment (IEEE 1584-2018), and motor starting / voltage dip
studies (DOL and soft-start). Extended generator and motor dialogs with dynamic parameters needed for
stability and starting studies.
2025 — Multi-engine load flow & validation
Strengthened dual-solver load-flow workflows (pandapower and OpenDSS), including offshore wind and
industrial network examples. Published validation against commercial tools such as Neplan and
PowerFactory, and expanded documentation for short-circuit, OPF, contingency, and harmonics studies.

Schematic editor in the browser, cloud and local deployment options, load flow, short-circuit analysis,
optimal power flow (OPF), protection coordination (beta), contingency analysis, harmonic analysis,
time-series simulation, reactive power capability (PQ diagrams), and economic analysis — depending on
